Hi families! ??

My name is Miray, I’m 22 years old and from Germany, and I’m currently looking for my first host family on the Gold Coast for 3–5 months, starting in February 2027. ??????

Becoming an au pair and living abroad has been a dream of mine for a long time, but I always wanted to finish my studies first. I already hold a Bachelor’s degree and I’m currently completing my Master’s degree in Primary School Education, which I will finish before coming to Australia. ?????

A little bit about me??:

I would describe myself as open-minded, caring, patient, reliable and positive. I’m a very social and family-oriented person and love spending time with my friends and family, meeting new people and experiencing different cultures.

In my free time, I love travelling, exploring new places, going out for coffee, spending time outdoors and being near the water. I also really enjoy cooking and baking as you can probably tell from some of my pictures! ???? I love trying new things, being creative and making memories with the people around me.

I’m also a big animal lover, especially when it comes to dogs, so I would be more than happy to live with a family that has pets. ???? I enjoy swimming and generally love being outdoors, which is one of the reasons why I’m so excited about experiencing life on the Gold Coast. ????

My childcare experience:

I have gained lots of experience with children of different ages through my teaching degree, school and daycare internships, babysitting and private tutoring.
Most recently, I completed a five-month practical semester at a primary school, where I worked closely with children aged 6–8. I supported them throughout their school day, helped with their individual needs and independently planned and taught lessons. ??
I especially love being creative with children. As you can see from some of my pictures, I enjoy arts and crafts, painting, little creative projects, playing games and exploring outdoors with them. ?????? I love coming up with activities that are fun for children and seeing how excited they get when they create or discover something themselves.

I also have many years of experience caring for my younger cousins, including babies, toddlers and older children. I’m comfortable with everyday routines such as preparing meals, playing, bedtime routines, helping with homework and planning fun activities. ????
