Hello Host Family,
My name is Calvin and I hail from Kenya. I am a responsible, caring, and a hardworking individual. I like to spend my time with children and encourage them to learn and grow in safe and positive environments through interaction.
I have a lot of experience from caring for children through various channels family, community, churches, etc. These experiences have greatly helped me to develop patience and a sense of responsibility. My heart is in raising children, and I understand that children at different ages need different levels of support and encouragement. In my free time, I like to engage the children in reading stories, assisting with their schoolwork, playing outdoor games, drawing and making things with crafts, telling stories, and playing educational games as a fun and teaching method.
I am a person that is friendly, and respectful and values truthfulness, kindness, and good communication as important traits of a person. I am a person who can quickly adapt to any situation, and I can also easily relate with and learn new cultures. It thrills me greatly to be part of the host family while at the same time I can share with them a glimpse of my Kenyan way of life through a variety of culture and traditions.
As a au-pair, I am hoping to form a bond with my host family, to deliver childcare that they can rely on as well as bringing the positive changes in your household. At the same time, I want to gain lots of cultural knowledge, learn, and share many happy moments together.
