I am a bubbly, caring, and dependable childcare provider who truly enjoys working with children and helping them feel safe, comfortable, and supported. I have several years of childcare experience with children ranging from newborns to school-aged children, along with professional experience providing daily care and support to adults and elderly individuals with autism.
I have cared for children in both short-term and long-term family settings, including providing newborn care from 0-9months, twin toddlers, after-school supervision, homework help, meal preparation, transportation, and fun educational activities. I enjoy keeping children active and engaged through activities such as outdoor play, crafts, cooking, reading, learning new skills, and community outings. I also believe it is important for children to have a balance between having fun and maintaining a safe, structured routine.
One of my strengths is being patient and understanding with children who may have different personalities, needs, or ways of communicating. My experience working with individuals on the autism spectrum has taught me how important patience, consistency, emotional regulation, and individualized care can be. I am comfortable handling challenging situations calmly and using positive approaches to help children feel understood and supported.
I am also comfortable with everyday responsibilities that come with caring for a family or their home. Preparing meals, keeping living areas clean and organized, helping with homework and educational activities, assisting with routines, and safely transporting children to activities. I understand that childcare is not only about supervising children but also about becoming someone a family can trust and depend on.
I am currently pursuing my nursing degree, which has given me additional knowledge and experience in safety, patient care, communication, and responding responsibly in unexpected situations. I am CPR certified and have 3 years of healthcare experience.
Most importantly, I genuinely love working with children. I enjoy getting to know each child's personality, interests, and individual needs. I want the children I care for to feel comfortable being themselves while also learning independence, responsibility, kindness, and confidence.
