Dear Future Host Family,
My name is Nyaradzai, I am 27 years old and I come from Zimbabwe. I hold a Bachelor’s degree in Business Studies and Computer Science, I am a certified Personal/Virtual Assistant, and I speak fluent English. I am also currently learning Korean. I hold a valid driver’s license with 7 years of driving experience.
I would love to become an Aupair/Nanny because caring for children and supporting their growth has always been meaningful to me. I enjoy helping children learn, build confidence, discover their personalities and become more independent. I also look forward to experiencing a new culture, learning from my host family and sharing my own Zimbabwean culture with them.
My childcare experience began when I was about 12 years old, when I helped care for my sister’s 2 year old son. I helped feed and bathe him, settle him at bedtime and care for him during the night. Growing up in a large family with 7 siblings also gave me many opportunities to care for younger siblings, nieces and nephews.
One of my most important childcare experiences was when I was 17 and became the main daily caregiver for my preschool-aged niece for approximately 6 months while her parents worked in a remote area. I prepared her breakfast and lunchbox, helped her get dressed, managed her morning routine and made sure she was ready for the school bus. I was also completing my A Levels, which taught me how to balance my responsibilities while remaining patient, organised and dependable.
I have also provided private school-run services for 1 year for children between 4 and 13 years. I was responsible for transporting them safely to and from school and ensuring that they arrived on time. Parents trusted me with their young children’s safety, and I took that responsibility very seriously. Together with my seven years of driving experience, this role strengthened my punctuality, patience and awareness when caring for children outside the home.
I can support children with Mathematics, English, reading and homework. I enjoy making learning simple and enjoyable through educational games, stories and age-appropriate activities. I also enjoy arts and crafts, singing, dancing, outdoor activities and creative play, and I would love to encourage your children's interests and creativity.
I understand that joining a host family comes with responsibilities, boundaries and the need to respect their values, routines and parenting style. I hope to become someone you can trust and rely on, someone who will care for your children genuinely, support their learning and create a safe environment where they feel heard, encouraged and comfortable being themselves.
Having lost both of my parents while I was young, I developed a deep appreciation for family, love and dependable support. This is one reason why building a genuine connection with a host family is especially meaningful to me. I hope to become someone your family can trust and rely on, while creating happy memories together.
I would describe myself as responsible, observant, organised, patient and curious. In my free time, I enjoy listening to music, travelling, watching movies, being creative and learning languages. I also love animals and have a German Shepherd, so I would be comfortable joining a family with pets.
I am available to start between October 2026 and March 2027, and I can commit to a placement of 6–48 months. I hope this experience will allow me to grow personally and professionally, strengthen my childcare and communication skills, and develop a deeper understanding of another culture.
