Introduction
I am a 27-year-old biomedical engineer, university graduate, and experienced academic mentor. Over the past four years, alongside my professional career in medical technology, I have dedicated myself to teaching, mentoring, and breaking down complex academic concepts for students at various learning stages.
My formal teaching experience includes serving as a university Teaching Assistant (TA) for second-year courses at the University of British Columbia (UBC). In this role, I ran classroom sessions, moderated exams, graded technical work, and held dedicated review hours. Beyond the university classroom, I have years of private tutoring experience helping students master advanced Mathematics, Physics, Chemistry, and Biology, as well as English reading and writing. Because English is my native language, I love helping students naturally build their communication skills, technical vocabulary, and conversational confidence.
As a tutor, my approach is patient, practical, and highly intuitive. Coming from an engineering background, I don't believe in rigid memorization. Instead, I focus on helping students understand the core logic behind a problem, turning difficult STEM concepts into engaging, manageable steps.
